Here's what others are saying: "What a terrific book. I like
the production quality, the layout, and design of this title. The lessons look enjoyable, and it seems like it would
be quite simple to incorporate these into ongoing physical education activities for children. The author has offered a great
deal of variety with this book. I like the research that's been put into this book." Penny Sansevieri, Writer's
Digest
"I want to thank you for writing such a clear concise text. I think your book should be recommended
for seminar courses." Eve Bernstein, Master's Candidate, Physical Education
"I wanted to write
and tell you I've been using your book. It is helpful, quick and easy, and full of wonderful ideas the students love.
Prior to this year, I spent hours looking through overwhelming folders and books in search of a manageable collection
of P.E. leassons. Nothing compared to your simple book. I just wanted to thank you for making my job easier and
enjoyable." Tacy Higgs, First GradeTeacher
"This book is truly a user-friendly, comprehesive physical
education program! From behavior management techniques to endless lesson plan ideas aligned with the physical education standards,
this book is sure to promote lifelong fitness in students." Elizabeth McCullagh, Third Grade Teacher
How The Program Works The Overview
of the Year, and each month of lesson plan activities, guides you through a standards based sequence of physical
education activities for a 10 month school year. Each month is sequential and builds on skills learned from previous
months. Activities are listed as appropriate for each grade level: kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade,
fourth grade, fifth grade, and sixth grade.
The program is comprehensive and includes physical fitness
activities, skills, concepts, and games which are taught in a balanced progression through the school year.
A lesson plan format is included so you can fill in the activities, easily and quickly, to create a
complete lesson plan that will teach a 30-45 minute lesson plan each day. There are enough activities included
that you will be able to build lesson plans for 3-4 lessons a week for the entire school year.Your students will enjoy all
of these activities, while they also improve physical skills and fitness through the year.
